Instituted in 1991 as an international school in Bangkok, the International Montessori Center (IMC) provides children aged 2-6 years old with a superlative nursery and kindergarten education. Their main goal is to integrate physical, mental, emotional and social development into the best up to date, comprehensive educational programs available in Thailand.
International Montessori Center is one of the first international Kindergarten in Thailand to follow the Montessori Method. At the Center, they endeavor to create as many opportunities as possible. The children explore, create, build, touch, listen and watch. Their curriculum focuses on various arts, creative play, vocabulary enlargement and phonics. In addition, Language practice is encouraged through didactic Montessori equipment, storytelling and discussions. Besides these activities, students acquire knowledge of Mathematics and Science to produce strong basics and awareness of the world they live in.
IMC encourages the children to have the confidence to express themselves in every way such as singing and movement. Furthermore, classroom learning is inquiry-based and student-centered. Teachers also seek to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the children, respecting the unique abilities that each learner brings into the learning environment. Finally, IMC provides real assistance to each child by building confidence and providing meaningful experiences.
