Valentine’s Day 2020 in Bangkok will be widely celebrated with young kids and even some grandparents partaking in the holiday dedicated to love. While there are many options, you’ll want to carefully consider each of them so as to have a stress free celebration in the Land of Smiles (LOS).
Always consider Bangkok Traffic
Consider the traffic on that day even more than you would on a regular Bangkok evening. It’s a holiday when A LOT of people go out, so expect more traffic than normal. Many couples like to head to head to the many bridges in Bangkok to overlook the river. If you want to stay away from heavily packed areas, try to avoid the bridges.
Many restaurants run nice Valentine’s Day spreads. The Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit has a few outlets that cater to families on Valentine’s Day as well as couples. It’s highly recommended to call ahead to make a reservation. Many of their tables fill up quickly the week before Valentine’s Day. The Rembrandt Hotel has a Mexican Restaurant named “Mexicano” which has a Valentine’s Day event in Bangkok for 2020. They have live Mexican music and will take requests for you or your “amor” on that special evening.
Not kidding…the malls are actually nice!
The malls of Bangkok are actually quite nice during this time period. Though their main goal is to make more sales, they do decorate beautifully as they do with most holidays. There are always plenty of places to wine and dine within these malls. I personally recommend The Central Malls, of which there are many scattered throughout the city. If you’re willing to fight the crowds, getting a nice dinner cruise along the Chao Praya river can be a wonderful experience during the day of love.
Whatever you do decide to do for Valentine’s Day 2020 in Bangkok, we hope you have an enjoyable time with those that you love. Let us know how it goes!
